Derek Anderson’s National Faux Pas Sets His Reputation

It’s bad enough that the Arizona Cardinals now occupy the cellar of the less than stellar NFC West at 3-8.

They were embarrassed nationally by losing bad to the San Francisco 49s on Monday Night Football.

But, what’s interesting to me is that beleaguered Cardinals quarterback Derek Anderson may have set his future reputation with one light moment during the humiliating loss where he and a teammate were televised laughing.

Laughing during a painful loss — an incongruent action that has prompted scorn from fans, some negative comments from his coach and an angry outburst from Anderson when questioned about it in the post-game press conference.

Unfortunately for Anderson, what everyone will now remember are these two incidents instead of his play as a quarterback.
